Yes, it's time to get serious about YOU! Not as a selfish exercise, though. You were created by God and for God, so it's time to renew your search for God's plan for your current life stage.
He knows what you're feeling and He wants to help you navigate this time of your life with Him at the helm.
There are no quick and easy answers because every woman is different. Each have come through their own path, and each has a different approach to handling life.
To begin your next phase of life journey with these tools, I encourage you to invite God in and to use a journal to write in. As you read through the tools and write your meditative answers, treat it as a sacred process.
Ephesians 2:10 (NIV), "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
This material is Christian focused.
To begin, read the following sections and ponder them. Then write your thoughts and answers to the self-coaching questions in your journal.
I encourage you to focus on discovering the good works God wants you involved in. He knew you before you were born. You were chosen by God to be on mission with Him. You are His handiwork, His hands, and His voice to reach a complex world. You have been gifted with a unique set of skills. Now is your chance to be God's ambassador.
Take the focus off a search for personal happiness and seek God instead. Happiness is fleeting. It's often driven by moods more than circumstances. A right mindset will help you through most challenges. Ask God to renew your mind. Invite him into your everyday life.
Romans 12:2 (AMP), "And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]."
Invite God into your day each morning. When you read the Bible, devotional books, or other Christian books, ask the Holy Spirit to emphasize what God wants you to know. Then be aware of nudges throughout your day. Any planning you do will be put into check by God if you're a God-follower and are willing to let Him lead. That's good news. He will direct you in the way you should go.
Psalm 32:8 (NIV) I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
He does want you to be happy and, I've learned, you will find happiness and peace when you are reassured that YOU are in the palms of God's hands. When you can resist worry and pray instead, you will see growth and fruit in your life. God is working on your behalf. When you seek Him first, He will help you see your life from a new perspective--His perspective.
Proverbs 19:21 (NIV) "Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails."
